CRIT is the journal of the American Institute of Architecture Students and one of the longest-running student publications in architecture and design. Published continuously since 1976, CRIT documents emerging ideas, research, and critical discourse from students in architecture, design, and allied fields across North America.

Collected by nearly every accredited architecture school library and an increasing number of professional firms, CRIT serves as a unique academic resource—capturing student perspectives at the intersection of education, practice, culture, and the built environment. Each issue is curated to support scholarly inquiry, classroom discussion, and long-term reference.

CRIT offers libraries access to original student research, essays, interviews, and design work, developed under editorial mentorship and reviewed for clarity, rigor, and relevance. The journal provides insight into the evolving priorities and voices shaping the future of the profession.

We are pleased to include your institution among CRIT’s subscribers and thank you for supporting student scholarship and critical engagement in architecture education.
