2024 MIDWEST QUAD CONFERENCE – “CONGRUENCE”
Thursday, September 26, 2024, 8:00 AM to Sunday, September 29, 2024, 5:00 PM EDT
Category: Events
Congruence, focuses on the architect’s role in an interconnected world. Investigating the idea that projects are influenced by forces beyond design, when the architects serve as mediators between parties to reach agreements, as communities desires, political forces, and design ideas collide to shape the future of our world.
Expanding on the idea of the architect interacting with the public and other industries, the conference also considers the expanding role of architecture beyond traditional practice into alternative careers. Design education prepares people to do more than work on architectural projects, and understanding how those roles can now influence the built environment outside a typical design office opens possibilities to redefine what an architect does.
Join us in the wonderful city of Chicago, a city of distinct neighborhoods where historical buildings and contemporary design come together to bring architecture to the general public.
